tapped the cage
on a page
wrote a note
"how simple
to be a
rat like that"
they stared
beady eye
to
beady eye
with
inflated dreams

"Aborted Dreams"
no womb expectations
the embryo floated
in the bile of
unwantedness
generations of
pro choice children
were born
incapable of dreams

"Dated Dreams"
dreams
have
expiration
dates...yolanthaism

"Depression"
dreams
without strategies
religiously
deflate hope
